How to Use a Global Weidian Spreadsheet Without Saving Every Link

A spreadsheet can save time, but only if you treat each row as a lead rather than a finished recommendation. Check the item type, photos, measurements, price, likely parcel size, and destination before you keep it.

01

What the spreadsheet is really for

Think of the sheet as a shared list of possible products. A row may have a name, thumbnail, price, source link, size note, category, or warehouse photo reference. Some rows are detailed; others are only enough to start looking.

The sheet is at its best when it helps you rule things out quickly. It should leave you with a short list you can compare, not a browser full of unrelated products.

02

Why rows go stale

The product page can change while the row stays the same. Options disappear, prices move, photos are replaced, and links redirect. A tidy spreadsheet does not make an old row current.

Use the destination page to check the item again. Look for current options, useful photos, measurements, seller information, and the rules of the service you plan to use.

  • A visible price may exclude domestic or international freight.
  • A product name may be shorthand rather than a precise description.
  • A photo set may show a sample, not every future item.
  • A source link may change or redirect after the row was published.
03

Before you open the link

  1. Name the item type. A shoe, bag, jacket, and watch need different checks.
  2. Read the full label. Separate specific facts from promotional wording.
  3. Look closely at the photos. Do they show the parts you would want to check for this item?
  4. Check measurements. A size label without a chart or item measurement may be too weak.
  5. Compare like with like. Put similar rows beside one another before calling a price high or low.
  6. Consider weight and source. Both can change what the row means and what it may cost to continue.
04

Open a link with a question in mind

Know what you want from the product page before you click. You may need to confirm the option, find a size chart, see the bag interior, or check whether the price belongs to the same bundle.

Opening links without a question usually creates more tabs than answers. If every page sends you in a different direction, narrow the item type first.

05

What the source label tells you

Yupoo, Taobao, Weidian, and 1688 lead to different kinds of pages. The label helps you know what to expect, but it does not tell you whether the product or seller is reliable.

Source termWhat you may seeWhat to check
YupooAn image album or catalog-style source.Whether the album and item details match the spreadsheet row.
TaobaoA retail marketplace listing.Current options, measurements, seller information, and the destination URL.
WeidianA marketplace or shop product page. The exact item, variant, photos, and current listing details.
1688A wholesale-oriented marketplace source.Minimum quantities, variants, specifications, and how the row interprets them.

Keep the original link when you can. If you use a converted link, check that it still lands on the same item and option.

06

Compare within one item type

Shoes need outsole views and useful length measurements. Jackets need sleeve, lining, and chest details. Jewelry needs dimensions and clear material claims. Using the same questions for every product type misses the details that matter.

Use the category guide to see what to check for your item, then apply the seven-point checklist to the row itself.

07

A row worth keeping and one to skip

Worth another look

  • Clear item category and descriptive label
  • Photos show the parts that matter
  • Measurements or a useful size chart
  • Price compared with similar options
  • Source link matches the visible item
  • A specific reason to keep it

Probably not worth the tab

  • Promotional label with no product detail
  • One unclear thumbnail
  • No measurement information
  • Price judged in isolation
  • Source destination is unclear or mismatched
  • Saved only because it looks popular
